Research Project - Utah Educational Leadership Programs
Research activity has included distribution and collection of surveys as a team member of Research Project on Utah Educational Leadership Programs, which is part of a national research effort on Educational Leadership Programs. University of Utah, Utah State University, Brigham Young University, University of Phoenix and Southern Utah University are participating in the project. Review and discussion of preliminary data and findings, 2005-2007.

Action research on a continuous basis on various aspects of online instruction, its effectiveness and preferences of graduate students, resulting in several publications. See Publications section.

Educational Specialist Degree Needs Assessment
Research Project
Research was needed to support an application for an Educational Specialist Degree Program at SUU. Development, review with peers, set up online, distribution, collection and results reported on the findings of the research survey, 2006.
Hybrid Instructional Delivery
This research was done to determine the feasibility of offering courses through hybrid, or blended delivery. The Graduate Studies in Education Department piloted hybrid delivery in a few classes, collecting data during the pilot phase. Findings were positive, and many courses that were formerly strictly online are now offered using a blend of online and interactive televised instruction.
